NPI-process
Each project continues through a clearly defined protocol before components are considered for production, this process we define as New Product Introduction (NPI-process).
By adoption of the NPI-process OPTIMAS ensures that critical paths have all been considered before the product manufacturing process is started. All risks, engineering issues and inspection methods, material requirements as well as detailed process planning are defined at the outset.
Milestones:
- Customer RFQ; RFQ = request for quotation
- DWG package; DWG = technical documentation package
- Acceptance RFQ;
- Supplier Documentation;
- FA production (FA = First Article);
- Approval FA internal;
- Approval FA customer;
- Documentation review;
- Pilot production;
- Approval pilot internal;
- Approval pilot customer;
- Release mass production;
