All the contracts between OPTIMAS and its Chinese suppliers are covered by Confidentiality and Non-Circumvent Agreements.
Intellectual Property Protection
Whilst no company can categorically say they have this issue completely under control we believe we can offer our clients some significant reassurance for the following reasons:
- In many cases OPTIMAS is assembling critical assemblies in our own factory ensuring intellectual property protection.
- Factories we currently make components in have been doing business with the principals of OPTIMAS for a number of years. Typically we maintain relationships with all levels of management and OPTIMAS regularly meets with the owners of each factory maintaining a level of friendship and trust.
- Factories are unlikely to jeopardize the relationships with OPTIMAS and lose all the combined business to embark on a short term profit potential.
- OPTIMAS staff regularly visits or are permanently placed in a factory overseeing production and inspection which ensures that technology provided to a factory is only used to produce OPTIMAS products and not the competitions.
- Factories regardless of the long term relationship are required to sign a Non-Circumvent and Confidentiality Agreement prior to receiving any drawings or specifications.
