Traceability

OPTIMAS implements for all assemblies carried out at OPTIMAS' facility 100% traceability. What this means to us and our customers is a complete historical traceability for the life of the product.

This encompasses:

  1. Chemical and mechanical properties of raw materials.
  2. Heat treat records.
  3. Third party inspection and verification analyses documents.
  4. Each finished product has a unique product serial number. At each step of the assembly process each assembly employee and inspector is tied to that serial number. This takes into account lot changes and personnel breaks that can occur on the assembly line during the day.
  5. In the event an inspector determines a non-conforming product, the production line is stopped and can only be restarted upon approval by the Quality department.
  6. Each assembly employee and inspector is specifically trained on their station and can only perform the tasks that they have been trained to do. Our software system will not allow employees to login to stations they have not been trained on.
  7. We have a computerized FIFO Bluetooth barcode inventory system which traces all supplier records, inspection records and drawing revisions. This in turn is an integral part of the production system offering complete bi-directional traceability.
Bar code during production guarantees traceability for all assemblies at OPTIMAS.

This high level of traceability gives our customers the advantage of knowing that all individuals in the complete supply chain are accountable. This awareness gives our staff a sense of pride in the products they produce as employees of OPTIMAS.

The result speaks for itself: OPTIMAS has been able to produce at 0 ppm level and 100% on time delivery for all products it assembles in-house.
